Started with Sam

Childcare Minister Sam Gyimah kicked off Childcare Expo London last Friday with his opening speech where he welcomed visitors and commended early year’s professionals for “shaping the futures of the next generation”.

The Minister went on to say “at the heart of this event are lots of things that make a difference to how childcare providers help children develop, stimulate their imaginations but also help them enjoy childhood, which is after all what it should be about”.

The show was a hive of activity as visitors, exhibitors and speakers came together to bounce ideas off each other and find out what was new in the sector. Many of these ideas were captured on the Ideas Wall as everyone took part in sharing tips and tricks and recording their thoughts on where the sector currently is and where it is heading.

Tired Feet & Heavy Bags

After two busy days of trying out resources, discovering innovative services and collecting ideas to take back to their settings, early years professionals left the exhibition with tired feet and heavy bags full of goodies from the show.
