workforce panel

Join the debate as Future of Care Conference will be hosting a panel session to discuss the issues surrounding workforce recruitment and retention in care.

The conference, which takes place on 15th October at the Hilton Hotel, Leeds City, aims to bring together the leaders of the care sector for a day of debate and discussion on the key challenges of the sector. The day will be chaired by respected ITV news presenter Sameena Ali-Khan who will be steering the discussion and questions.

Recruitment and retention in care is an on-going challenge for care home owners and managers and our panelists will be asking how we can solve those issues. They’ll be asking how innovation will impact staffing, what implications Brexit will have for EU employees and whether products developed specifically for the sector can actually improve it.

Panellists for ‘Workforce Shortages in the Care Home Sector’ include representatives from Skills for Care, North Yorkshire County Council, The Health Foundation, the Institute for Public Policy Research and more.

A second panel debate will cover the use of technology in driving change in the care sector. In a world increasingly reliant on apps and tech, can we use it to improve the care and the well-being of patients? How can we ensure that a tech-positive culture and use innovation to drive positive change?

Panelists for the second debate include experienced leaders from care home groups such as Belmont Healthcare Group, Knights Care and Larchwood Care, among others. They’ll be sharing how new technology has worked in their businesses and how it can be implemented smoothly into the workforce culture.

Minister of State for Care, Caroline Dinenage MP, will be delivering a keynote speech expected to touch upon the Governments’ priorities for the future of adult care.

In addition to the panel debates the day will feature a full programme of high quality speakers who are thought-leaders in the sector. They’ll be sharing their knowledge and strategies to help care home owners and managers deliver a better service for their clients, and their staff.

The conference is supported by Platinum Sponsor BlueLeaf  and Gold Sponsors Quality Compliance Systems and Care Roadshows.
